Who we are

This website is operated by FWP Enterprises for Grant Abbott, Family Wealth Protection and SMSF strategist (“we”). Contact: grant@grantabbott.com.

What we collect

• Contact details you give us: your name, email and, if you choose, a phone or WhatsApp mobile number.
• Your choices: whether you agreed to email updates and/or WhatsApp messages, the exact wording you saw, the page and time (Australian Western time, with the +08:00 offset), and a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address used only to stop abuse.
• What you submit in forms: webinar registrations, Moat waitlist requests, appointment requests, contact messages, and, if you book after the Fortress assessment, your score, report title and any note you add. We ask you not to put financial account details or other sensitive information in these forms.
• Not collected here: payment card details. The Moat payment is not open yet; when it is, it will be taken by a payment provider and we will not see your card number.

Notice of collection

We collect your information to reply to you, register you for webinars, prepare your appointment or Fortress report, and, only if you opt in, send you updates. Giving us your details is voluntary, but if you do not, we cannot reply to you or register you. To ask for access to or correction of your information, or to make a complaint, email grant@grantabbott.com.

Why we use it

To reply to you, register you for webinars, prepare your Fortress report and appointment, and send you a welcome email. If you tick the separate, optional boxes, to send you email updates and/or WhatsApp messages. Ticking is never required to use the site, and neither box is ticked for you. Our email updates and WhatsApp messages are sent only if you ticked the separate box. You can withdraw consent at any time. Every email has a working unsubscribe link and we act on it within 5 business days.

Who it is shared with, and where it is stored

We use service providers to run the site. Some of them store or process your information outside Australia:

• Neon (database): your details are stored in Neon’s Sydney, Australia region. This storage is in Australia.
• Vercel (website hosting): hosts the website and the code that receives your form; requests may be processed in the United States.
• Resend (email delivery): sends our emails from its Japan (Tokyo) region, so your name and email address are processed there.
• FWP Enterprises Limited, our operating entity, is based in Hong Kong and may access your information from there.
• If we add other providers (for example Zoom for webinars or a payment provider for The Moat), we will update this policy before they receive your information.

Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps, as required by Australian Privacy Principle 8, to ensure the recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to that information. This includes using reputable providers whose terms of service and data processing terms commit them to protecting personal information. We do not ask you to consent to overseas disclosure in place of taking these steps, and we remain accountable for how your information is handled.

We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

• Contact and consent records: 24 months after your last activity or unsubscribe. We keep the consent record (the wording you saw, the time, and any unsubscribe) for that same period as proof of your consent.
• Fortress assessment results and notes: 12 months.
• Hashed IP addresses used for abuse control: 1 day.

We may keep a record that you unsubscribed or asked us to delete your data, so we honour your request. We delete or de-identify information when we no longer need it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your choices and your rights

• Unsubscribe: every email has an unsubscribe link, or reply STOP to a WhatsApp message.
• Access, correct or delete: email grant@grantabbott.com. We will respond within a reasonable time (we aim for 30 days).
• Complaints: email us first. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

On your device

If our server can’t be reached when you submit a form, your submission is kept in your browser’s local storage on your own device and retried later, then removed once saved. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Children

This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Data breaches

If we have a data breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.
